Retainer Instructions
Wear 24 hours a day.
Remove retainers when you eat, brush your teeth, play sports or musical instruments, and dancing.
Put retainers in your case when they are not in your mouth. Never wrap them in a tissue, paper towel, or napkin.
Brush your retainers at least once a day with your toothbrush and toothpaste.
You can soak them in mouthwash and lukewarm water or denture cleanser.
Don't put them in anything hot: dishwasher, microwave, or boiling water.
Be extra careful with your retainers around dogs or cats.
Always remove your retainers as instructed. Do not pop your retainers with your tongue as this could cause breakage.

Clear Retainer Instructions
Wear 24 hours a day for the first 3 days, after that wear them 12 hours a day.
Remove retainers when you eat, brush your teeth, play sports or musical instruments.
Put retainers in your case when they are not in your mouth. Never wrap them in a tissue, paper towel, or napkin.
Brush your retainers at least once a day with your toothbrush and toothpaste.
You can soak them in denture cleanser.
Don't put them in anything hot: dishwasher, microwave, or boiling water.

Now that your braces are removed, please make an appointment to see your dentist. Please continue to have your retainers checked. The only way your teeth will remain corrected is to wear your retainers faithfully and to have them checked periodically. In addition, it is important that your third molars (wisdom teeth) be monitored so that they can be removed, if necessary
